01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled along the charming Via Trento in the heart of Trieste, Ones Trieste stands out as a vibrant espresso bar, coffee shop, and bar that exquisitely blends local warmth with an inviting modern vibe. This spot isn’t just a place to grab your caffeine fix—it’s a lively hub where coffee aficionados and cocktail lovers alike find their sanctuary.

Stepping inside Ones Trieste, you’re immediately enveloped by a welcoming atmosphere, fueled by great music and a spirited crowd that turns every visit into an experience rather than just a pit stop. One customer, Balsa Bajagic, sums it up perfectly: “Best bar in city! I never see anything like this! Great people, music and food!” It’s clear that the genuine hospitality and sense of community here create an energy that feels refreshingly authentic.

While the drink menu shines, including expertly crafted espresso and signature cocktails like a must-try Negroni praised by reviewer ‘Bring back The Merkin,’ Ones Trieste’s evolving food offerings also deserve applause. The food menu boasts simple yet incredibly flavorful dishes that change daily, ensuring freshness and creativity. Patrons repeatedly commend the tasty bites, with Michael Audrlický reminiscing about the “free snack and pasta” that elevated his evening into a memorable celebration of both flavors and friendliness.

Beyond the culinary delights, Ones Trieste’s convenient location near the bus station and within people-watching distance of Trieste’s bustling streets makes it an ideal spot for both locals and travelers. The attentive, friendly staff—highlighted by many reviews—add a personable touch, exemplified by Marco’s excellent English skills and flexible service that leave a lasting impression.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely morning espresso, a carefully mixed cocktail, or a simple yet delicious meal with a backdrop of great music and lively conversation, Ones Trieste captures the essence of what makes Trieste’s café culture so special. It's not just a bar or coffee shop; it’s a place where connections are made and the heart of the city pulses in every cup and every smile.

Staff are lovely. Food menu is simple, looks like it changes daily, but oh so tasty. Negroni, is a must. Highly recommend, as it just off the bustle, still within people watching distance.

I was in Trieste for one weekend. Ones moving had the best reviews, which I can only confirm. Location is very near the bus station. Everything was great, very good service. The owner is a nice guy. Bike was in great condition. Next time will try electric bike :)

I found Ones Moving on the net before departing from Budapest to a vacation in Trieste. I wanted to rent 2 e-bikes. I called them, my contact person was Marco, who speaks good English and was alwas very supportive, kind, flexible and friendly. We rented 2 Conway e-bikes which were new and in very good condition. During our vacation we decided to stay a few days more. Unluckily we had to return the bikes as had been booked but could rent 2 e-scooters which was a good fun. For the last day we could get back the e-bikes again. We were very happy with the flexibility of the service, with the bikes too and the friendly atmosphere of the shop. Even we were lucky to be invited to a street event of Ones Moving where all the rentable vehicles were on show, street skate boarders performed and one could grab a bier and a sandwich too. It was great fun. If we return to Trieste what we plan, the hotel might be different but the bike rental will remain the same: Ones Moving with Marco and Juliet! Peter Lendvay

This place deserves a special recognition for their warm hospitality. We stopped there for a late breakfast on 20th April 2023 before starting our sightseeing day in Trieste. After a delicious breakfast, we were about to leave when the rain increased in intensity. This is when the lady barkeeper offered us a very large umbrella to use for the day at no cost. We made best use of it and returned it in the afternoon. We shall remember this noble gesture of hospitality as a highlight of our stay in Trieste. Thank you

Only in Trieste for one Friday night before travelling to Rovinj and saw a table free on the terrace so sat down and ordered a spritz for €5. To my surprise, little plates of free food was brought around. Vegetable rice, pasta and pickled anchovies. All were delicious. Hope this is an everyday event and I was not just lucky as I will return there before I fly home from Trieste. Waiters were helpful and friendly.
